What is the process for obtaining a medical marijuana card in my state?
There are typically three steps to obtaining a medical marijuana card.
STEP 1.
Secure a medical approval
The medical approval verifies that you have a state approved qualifying condition. This is the step that we provide for you at Elite Evaluations.
STEP 2.
Bring your medical approval to a local physician authorized to enter you into the state registry. In some states there are designated marijuana doctors, in other states, you can bring this to any licensed physician including your primary doctor.
STEP 3.
Go to the dispensary and begin purchasing the products.
What are the qualifying conditions?
Most states recognize cancer, AIDS, HIV, Parkinson’s, Crohn’s, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This can vary by state however anxiety, depression, bipolar, chronic pain are generally NOT acceptable as qualifying conditions. However, if you suffer from these symptoms, you may be suffering from PTSD and we can assist you with getting approved with that diagnosis if applicable.
Is medical marijuana covered by insurance?
Unfortunately, at this time insurance companies do not cover the costs associated with medical marijuana.
Once I get my PTSD approval, are there other fees?
When you take your medical approval to a local clinic or physician to be entered n the state registry, you will have to pay for the office visit. This varies in the range between $125 and $300. Call your local marijuana clinic for specific pricing information.
Can my family physician or general practitioner diagnose me with PTSD?
Technically they can but most will not. That is why we provide this service. We can provide an accurate and valid diagnosis for PTSD that your general practitioner or family physician can feel comfortable accepting/verifying.
What if I pay for a PTSD diagnosis and it is not accepted at my local marijuana clinic or by my family physician?
We have never had one of our medical approvals denied in any state. You are being evaluated by a state licensed mental health professional with extensive years of experience specializing in PTSD. In the unlikely event that the medical approval is not accepted, we will refund your $99 100%.
I already have a PTSD diagnosis and medical records that reflect this. What do I do now?
If this is the case, you do not need our services. Simply take your medical records and bring them to your local marijuana clinic and they will be able to enter you into the state registry without any problems
